{Political_Views} China's newest export: Internet censorship | David Rohde

Well you see folks it's like this. People who are on the internet like me get their news from more than just one source
or country and governments don't like that, no matter who is in control. They want to control the truth, they
only want you to read, hear and see what they consider is their truth. So censorship of the internet
keeping one from getting opinions and news from other places around the world is not in governments best
interest. Oh yea right they will flood the airwaves saying that it's to crack down on porn sites, child porn,
anti this or anti that groups. But in the end it's to crackdown and prevent you and me from hearing and
seeing what others are saying and doing.
I ask would we have seen what is really happening in Egypt if it was not for the internet? If it was
not for the thousands texing and tweeting?
