Last week, congressional Republicans voted again for Rep. Paul Ryan's plan to end Medicare.
In response, progressive House candidates across the nation went on offense! They held their Republican opponents accountable back home by delivering thousands of local petition signatures and getting positive media attention.
This Thursday, Rob Zerban, Paul Ryan's opponent, and Rep. Tammy Baldwin, who is running for US Senate in Wisconsin, will keep the pressure on by kicking off a delivery of an even larger national petition to Ryan's office.
Rep. Tammy Baldwin is holding town halls in the heart of Paul Ryan's district in Wisconsin to talk to voters about Medicare. And she will work with us to kick off a petition delivery to Paul Ryan's local offices, which will bring even more media attention to Ryan's plan to end Medicare.
This what effective progressive activism looks like -- grassroots activists working as partners with elected leaders and candidates to fight for progressive values and hold the bad guys accountable.
Thanks for being a bold progressive.
