The founding fathers did not agree with each other on everything but they did on who should control a countries money. The Government. Yet less than 140 years later the Fed came along. Yet Congress has no constitutional authority to do so. In fact it say in Article one section eight that only congress has the right to coin money and fix the standard of weights and measures. At that time the United states was on the Gold standard and it's value in dollars was to be fixed by congress. Today the Fed and Wall Street do it. Today we still make the coins but the Fed (a private bank) dictates it's value.

The Photo in this story is of the Enbridge pipeline spill. Like I have said just think what would happen if this happened say in Nebraska at the Platte River or at the Missouri River or Red River in the Dakota's.

This spill was in July 26, 2010 near the Kalamazoo river in Michigan, and we did not hear about it because of the BP spill. But htey are still cleaning it up.

To date 766,000 gallons of oil have been recovered. 15.3 million gallons of contaminated water disposed of. 127,000 cubic yards of contaminated soil/debris (i.e trees, plants, crops) The cost to the American tax payer so far $31.3 million dollars.

Now this was in a populated area just think of it happening in the unpopulated area's of the Canadian Midwest the Dakota's or Nebraska. How many more gallons would flow out before anyone got their?

Hemp is not a drug and one cannot make a drug from it. Strange bedfellows came together to give us prohibition.
The cotton manufactures went after hemp and joined in, the tobacco industry joins to make cannabis, and opium
as well as cocaine illegal. The growing oil industry joined in the fight against alcohol because at that time more
alcohol was running cars than gas.
Hemp clothing was made by the pioneers because it lasted longer and was more durable than cotton. It could be grown anywhere and did not deteriorate the soil. Most of the rigging and ropes used in ships was made
of hemp because it was stronger.

	1) Tell Eric Cantor: "Don't Hold Emergency Aid Hostage" Eric Cantor - have you no shame at all? Throughout our nation's history, a simple rule has applied when it comes to natural disasters: help your fellow Americans, and do what is needed to help them get back on their feet. Thus, it's frankly appalling that Representative Eric Cantor is threatening to hold disaster relief funds hostage to his partisan pettiness. He is demanding immediate cuts to offset spending, even though it is spending necessitated by a natural disaster of historic proportions -- a hurricane that is hitting his very own district. Representative Cantor made no such demand for cuts when he was cheerleading huge tax breaks for the wealthy, or subsidies for oil companies. But for some reason, he has chosen to draw his line in the sand now, at a time when tens of millions of Americans are in danger. He is basically telling them to "drop dead." Enough is enough. Tell Eric Cantor to back off, to cut the dangerous partisan pettiness, and to let this urgently needed spending move forward. And spread the word. Maybe with enough shaming, and enough of a backlash, Cantor will do the right thing -- or at least, the politically expedient thing. Why Gas is so Expensive
at the Pump

Excessive oil speculation on Wall Street causes gas prices to soar

"There is no more debate. Excessive speculation is a major reason oil prices have risen so sharply," Sen. Bernie Sanders said, referring to U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission data he recently released. The data reveals Wall Street speculators played a major role in driving up the price of a barrel of oil to $147 in 2008. During the rampant oil speculation, regular unleaded gas in Vermont hit a record $4.09 a gallon, causing financial hardship for many Vermonters.

"While making this confidential information public may have upset Wall Street oil speculators, the American people have a right to know exactly what caused gasoline prices to skyrocket to more than $4 a gallon back in the summer of 2008," Bernie said. "This report clearly shows that Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and other speculators on Wall Street dominated the crude oil futures market causing tremendous damage to the entire economy."

Speculation is rampant again, and – no surprise – gas prices have soared over the course of the last year. This week, gas in Vermont cost 90 cents more than one year ago. "There is little doubt that the same speculators who caused gasoline and heating oil prices to unnecessarily spike in 2008 are playing the same games again in 2011. This is simply unacceptable and must not be allowed to continue," Bernie said.

Bernie called on federal regulators to meet in an emergency session to crack down on speculators and provide needed relief for motorists and for people who heat their homes with heating oil. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission was required by the new Wall Street reform law to stop excessive speculation by January, but the regulators have ignored that new law. In a letter, Bernie called on the CFTC to "finally do what the law mandates and end excessive oil speculation."

Legislative Update : Bernie introduced the End Excessive Oil Speculation Now Act of 2011 that would force the CFTC to impose strict limits on the amount of oil speculators can trade in the commodity and futures markets. The bill has eight co-sponsors.

Tell me why does one have to find this out by reading articles written by American reporters working for news

organizations in other countries? Our news here in this country is concerned, distorted and twisted. What is reported is what the corporate owned media wants use to hear.

Repeated stories every half hour about kidnappings, a sad murder or some stars problem with drugs. But things like this that these very corporations who run the media, might have caused go unreported. Their really is no longer a real freedom of the press in America for when a reporter does get a story through the corporations go to work not to deny the story but to discredit the reporter.
