{Political_Views} Fwd: FW: Hemp Car - Hemp Clothes - Hemp Building

Yet it is still banned in the USA Hemp was legal up until prohibition. In fact all drugs were also legal.
Hemp is not a drug and one cannot make a drug from it. Strange bedfellows came together to give us prohibition.
The cotton manufactures went after hemp and joined in, the tobacco industry joins to make cannabis, and opium
as well as cocaine illegal. The growing oil industry joined in the fight against alcohol because at that time more
alcohol was running cars than gas.
Hemp clothing was made by the pioneers because it lasted longer and was more durable than cotton. It could be grown anywhere and did not deteriorate the soil. Most of the rigging and ropes used in ships was made
of hemp because it was stronger.
>
> Who knew hemp was so incredibly versatile?
>
> Hemp is a very inexpensive uncomplicated crop to grow.
> It could be the "all-singing, all-dancing material of our future,
> to make clothes, bricks and cars...."
