{Political_Views} Sex, Rick Santorum and the conservative imagination | Ana Marie Cox | Comment is free | guardian.co.uk

It runs in the family. My older sisters response to this post.

If it wouldn't be so sad, it would be prime time comedy. A panel of all male middle age Washington politicians talking before Congress subcommittee on the issue of contraception vs. religious "freedom". What I read into this is "we want to control, control, control" all females & choose which "freedoms" stay & which go. Hey guys....it's 2012 NOT 1512. Wake up & accept the facts. Birth control would NOT be an issue if you'd keep it in your pants (or hands, your choice). In 1512 females were considered property, bartered in marriage for political alliances to produce offspring or carted off to a nunnery, chastity belts were used. The "Church" (all male) made the rules & females had little to no rights. Looks like times have NOT changed that much. Hard to believe in 2012 any female with active brain cells would buy into the current line of bullshit. Remember females can VOTE (of course with a valid photo ID card). Give up the ghost, guys. Times have changed. There are multitudes of females chopping at the bit to replace you in Congress. If my tax dollar goes to making guns/missiles/war, why NOT paying for protection of another sort thru contraceptives. You guys could then get your "action" & we females could get a good night's sleep. Sex is here to stay, guys. Always will be. Get with the program or get the Hell out of politics. As for Sanatorium, my guess is he's playing w/fire & will get burned. B.
