If the media does not metion it or the press not publish it the majority do not know of it and thus feel they only have 2 choices to make. When they get a sample ballot and see the other names they know nothing of or about them.

If a 3rd person does get somewhat popular he is cut out of the so-called Presdiential debates and not even mentioned in them. That's because the debates are controlled by the two major parties and evrytime a 3rd person reaches the critieria to be in them they raise the bar and change the rules.
