{Political_Views} Tougher Voter ID Laws Set Off Court Battles - NYTimes.com

The tough voter ID laws could also be considered part of the continued attack on women. It is the woman not the man who changes her last name when married. If she divorces she goes back to her maiden name, if she remarries most take the new husbands name. Like the woman in at the start of the article any loss of ID's through theft, flood or fire, or other acts of God makes it very hard on a woman to recover and get new identification. Even harder if she has moved several times to different states.
It is harder for the children also if their parents have moved from their birth state and need a certified copy of their birth certificate and do not know exactly where they were born.
